Members of Committee of Management and Governing Body
The Royal
School for the Blind, Liverpool is an independent charity whose
principle activity is the management of the school known as the
Royal School for the Blind.
The School
is a leading national centre for the education of Multiple Disabled
Visually Impaired (MDVI) children and young people aged 2 - 19
in Wavertree on the outskirts of Liverpool. As a non-maintained
special school, we address needs ranging across the whole spectrum
of physical and learning disability in which visual impairment
is a common factor.
A Committee
of Management elected under a statute of 1791 performs the duties
of trustees of the charity while a separate Governing Body is
responsible for normal duties in respect of oversight of the school.
The Committee
of Management welcomes interest from prospective new members of
either the Committee or the Governing Body. For further information,
please contact.
